So, I was browsing through GO2WEB20 and found a pretty sweet site called Restorm. Restorm is a web 2.0 site that allows you to single handedly upload and update your own music one time, and it synchs to all of your other artist accounts on other sites. You don't just have to have music, you can upload films, music, art, etc. There is also another feature on Restorm that allows you to get paid for your work. When someone comes across your material either on Restorm or on another site that is linked through Restorm, and they want to purchase your material, Restorm tracks that and get you the $$$. The only thing with that is Restorm requires a small percentage of that money. I definitely think its worth it.
To me, as an artist AND someone involved with the Music Industry, I find this web 2.0 site a MAJOR resource that can further expand your audience, career, experience, and allows you to network, not to mention add a few bucks to your wallet. For people working in the music industry this could be a very helpful tool to find and explore some new artists. Think of the site as sort of a contact page, resume, and demo. This can be very crucial for anyone Artist, fan, or Industry personnel. Its all there for you to explore.
For me, as an artist, I can further extend my reach to the masses with my music. As a person in the Industry, this will help me expand my database, discover, research, and follow other artists that I could be potentially working for, or currently am working for. I view this to be a very important resource.
